Biases in the Classroom
During the Gryffindor’s first potions lesson, Snape pays attention to the male students while not even acknowledging non-male students. Hermione is the only female student who is even mentioned in this scene.
Snape openly praises Malfoy, showing his favoritism for Slytherins, while criticizing and bullying Neville and other male students.
No other professor seems to favor his or her house as much as Snape.
